John holds a seat in the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame and several awards, including Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow Regional Award. He also serves on the Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) Board of Directors.

You might recognize John as the award-winning anchor who delivered your nightly news in Las Vegas. His acclaimed career spans from Los Angeles to the East Coast and the network level. His reputation is built on a connection with audiences of all sizes.
After years of delivering the news with authority and heart, John launched Huck Communications to help others do the same in a variety of communication settings. Today, he channels his experience into coaching leaders to speak with confidence, presence, and purpose.

Most of you know me from my long run as a local news anchor. For those meeting me here for the first time, I’m a communications veteran who now helps seasoned executives reclaim their presence on stage, in meetings, on camera, and in moments of crisis.

Over the decades, I’ve guided audiences through historic events—from the California wildfires of 2025 to some of the most traumatic moments in Las Vegas history. I’m a six-time Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award-winning anchor and storyteller, and I hold a Master’s in Communication Management from the University of Southern California.
Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill, former Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, and leaders across the business and nonprofit sectors have endorsed me. Today, I run Huck Communications, serve on the Executive Board of AFAN, and am a proud member of the National Speakers Association.
